Pricing
Every restoration is quoted on its own, after a free consult.
No two scars, skin tones or areolas are the same job, so there is no price list. You send two photos, we talk for fifteen minutes, and you leave the call knowing exactly what yours would involve and what it comes to.
The 15-minute consult is free and there is no pressure at the end of it.
Pricing at Advanced Paramedical Aesthetics in Santa Barbara is quoted individually at the free 15-minute consult, because the size of the area, your skin and the number of sessions it needs all vary from person to person.
Text two photos to 805-971-0097 to start. You get a real answer, not a range.
What goes into a quote
Why I do not hand out a price list.
Two scars in the same place on two different people can need a different number of sessions, a different color recipe and a completely different amount of my afternoon. A flat price would mean charging everybody the same for jobs that are not the same job.
- The size of the area
- A thin line and a wide patch are different amounts of work, and so are one areola and two.
- Your skin and the scar itself
- How the scar sits in the skin, whether it is raised, flat or shiny, how old it is, and how far its color has drifted from the skin around it.
- The color match
- Pigment is mixed to your skin at every session, and some skin tones and some scars take more blending than others.
- The number of sessions
- Most work takes one session plus a touch-up, and some cases take two before that. Skin takes pigment differently from person to person, and nobody can know how yours will until it has.
The free consult
Fifteen minutes, and you know where you stand.
Send two photos, daylight, no filter, nothing over the area. We talk by phone or FaceTime, whichever is easier. I tell you what I see, what is possible, how many sessions I expect, and what it comes to.
You hear the number, and the reason for it, before anything is booked. If the work turns out to need less than I expected, I tell you that too.
And if your scar is not a candidate, you get told so for free, on the phone, by the person who would have done the work. That happens more than you would think, and I would rather lose the booking than do work I am not going to be proud of.
Every scar is different. That is not a way of avoiding the question, it is the whole reason the question needs a phone call.
Questions about insurance are answered in full on the FAQ page, along with healing, how long the work lasts and everything else people ask first.
The question this page cannot answer
So what would mine come to?
Two photos to 805-971-0097, then fifteen minutes on the phone. Free, and it stays free whether or not you book anything.
The last stop
Whatever it is, it starts with a text.
Two photos, fifteen minutes on the phone, and an honest answer. Nobody has ever regretted asking, and I have never once made someone feel silly for wondering.
